95 civic ex auto trans probs

its works till the car gets warm then nothing ..it shifts hard but when the car warms up it wont take any gear....any help my first civic

sounds like the trans is shot... have you checked the fluid level and/or condition?

it will work for a few miles then it just acts like its in neutral ..the fluid sells and looks fine, im goin to just drain whats in the pan then fill it back up then run it a while then repeat ..i read that in another thread on here..do i change the filter thou? on my GTP they GM said not to change the filter just the fluid..

how long have you owned the car?

the previous owner could have drained the bad fluid out and filled it with clean fluid prior to your purchase.

again... how is the fluid level?

i knew the people that had the car they said that it just started doing this during the hot weather...i just need someone to give me some trouble shooting tips ..this is my first Honda.

yea fluid look great just when it warms up it just spins like its in N but it will go for awhile before it stops maby 30ft turn it off them llet it cool then same thing...
