power distribution box compatibility

Would anyone know if the power distribution box is vehicle specific. Picked one up from the salvage yard & the part # is 4707892AB mine is 4707892AD. All the fuses & relays are in the same locations, plugs on the bottom side are the same, as are the terminals being used in each plug. The only difference is a couple of wires are different colors. My van is a 99, build date nov 98 with a3.8 ltr. Salvage van is a 98, build date jan 98 with a 3.3 ltr. Still trying to solve an issue with front wipers from a lightning strike last month.

If everything you need is there and the only difference is a wire colors I would ID the different colored wires, TAG them with a lable and install the thing. It could be that one p/n is installed on the left side and the other one goes on the right side.
