Any body have the Power Distribution Box replaced in their 2000 Taurus?
I am having starting problems with my car. I have replaced the Starter Relay, Fuel Pump Relay and the PCM Relay and still have a starter problem. I have taken to my local garage and they could not figure it out either. The fuel pump is fine, so it is not that. I have power to everything so it is not the battery and the starter test fine. So, I am taking my car in next week to have and electrical diagnostic done on it. However, before I do I would like to know if there is anybody out there who has had this problem. If so, do you know if in fact it was the Power Distribution Box and how much did this cost. By the way anybody out there have any electrical work done on their 2000 Taurus? Thanks in advance for any and all input. KH |

Does anybody know how to test this or if this is hard or expensive to replace?

If you have power to everything why would you think the Power Distribution Box is an issue?
Is the engine turning well but there is no ignition of fuel? |

Well, it looks like it was the Power Disribution Box. Apparently it develped a short in it. It was pulled out and tested. Where the Fuel Pump Relay sits, that is were the short was. It was corrected and then the PDB was reinstalled.
