We just purchased a 94 sedan deville with 4.9L and it only has 77k miles. The blower motor blows on high most of the time. Occassionally it will switch from defrost to feet/or dash by itself. Are these systems computer controlled. Is there a way to test the climante control computer if so? Any Ideas?

Re: 94 Deville heater/a/c blower problem
A little more info about the problem:
The climante control sytem display will show 2 dashes where the temprature is diplayed. The blower motor will turn on high, by itself. Pushing all the buttons including the off button, will not get the system to respond. Not sure if its related but the radio display ad the service engine soon light will flicker around the same time. |

Re: 94 Deville heater/a/c blower problem
More Diagnosis:
Codes recieved from vehicle History codes: P047- PCM Data Problem P052- PCM Memory Reset I033- Loss of Supplemental Inflatable Restraint Data I034- Loss of Powertrain Contorl Module Data I037- Loss of Air Condidtioning Programmer Data I052- Keep Alive Memory Error A037- Loss of Instrument Panel Cluster Data With these codes in the history makes me think the could be a short in a wire somewhere. I just want to see if anyone else has experieced issues like this before I go and tear the dash apart to track dowm a shorted wire somewher in the dash. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Thanks |
