How do you pull the engine
how do you pull the eninge out of a 99 windstar. I'm about to buy a windstare with a blown and was wondering if you pull the engine from the bottom. Also is there any tips for this project to make it easier. Ive pulled engines before but this model is new. Thanks for any help.

Pretty straight forward.
It comes out through the hood opening but you need to remove the windishield wipers cowling first, then you'll have enough space to remove anything at the back of the engine compartment and get it out. Oscar.

I took mine out the same path Ford used to put it in ... from below. Took out one subframe bolt ... used it as pattern to buy some metric all-thread rod of same dimensions. From the all-thread rod, made 4 long jack-screws....used to lower subframe complete with tranny and engine in place. Worked pretty well.
