PO 449 code
My wife drove my '07 Silverado last week and after fill up the Check Engine Light came on. Of course I immediately blamed her for the problem but using my scanner, I get a PO 449 code. (Evaporative Emmissions solenoid, etc.). The truck runs fine, still gets good mileage (5.3L V8) but the code won't stay cleared.
Is this a gas cap seal issue or is there something else that needs replacing? thanks very much for your kind assistance. RPG |

Re: PO 449 code
You most likely have a bad Evap Canister Vent Solenoid Valve.
