Replacing rear driver's side speaker

I have a 2000 3 door extended cab that I want to replace the rear speakers. I was wondering about the procedure to remove the rear driver's side speaker. It looks like the panel is behind the rear seatbelt mechanism. What is the easiest way to get to that speaker? Any info is greatly appreciated.

in this 2000 model year GM made many door styles,, look the door panel over and seek out those screws.. then when removing on my 4 dr ext cab it was very difficult to unfasten the plastic from the metal frame up on top..[clips] your 3 door I am not sure..

Re: Replacing rear driver's side speaker

Yeah, the door looks like it might take a little work, but is doable. The driver's side looks to be more of a pain, since there is no door there. Looking at it, it appears that the seatbelt hardware is in the way of the panel coming off without removing the anchor bolts. I guess I will see if I can pull the panel clips out and manuever it enough to the side to get access to it. I have found info on removing the door panel, but not the driver's side wall panel. Thanks for the info J!!
Sincerely,
Matt
