Replacing rear left side vent glass
It's a long story but I have to replace the rear left side vent glass (the stationary glass on the left rear door) on my 97 Honda Passport. Any idea how hard the job would be if I got a complete unit like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/91-97...QcmdZViewItem?.
Any tips on installing it would be helpful as well. I've got the Haynes manual and it's pretty much useless on the topic. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Replacing rear left side vent glass
I think Isuzu calls that the fixed/privacy glass?
If the setup is anything like a '98, seems like you'll have to just remove the trim panel and then peel back the waterproof sheet. That should give you access to the bottom bolt and there is a top bolt near the corner. Go to www.myisuzuparts.com and look up your truck. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Re: Replacing rear left-side vent glass
Thanks in part to pharm_rodeo, I successfully replaced the broken rear left-side vent glass with one from a wrecking yard. It was as simple as pharm_rodeo described so that even a mechanically inept guy like myself was able to remove and replace it in under 30 minutes.
