4 thing that should not go together, oil filters, skid plates, frames, and snakes.
oil filters, skid plates frames and snakes....
Today i decided to change oil and filter in my truck, so i crawled under the truck at the drivers door drained the oil, reached to grab filter turned it, slid bucket under it, and a snake started crawling off the skid plate at the front of the motor..  I HATE SNAKES >> ALL SNAKES. it started out the front, i jumped smacked my head on the frame almost knocked myself out before getting out form under the drivers side of the truckI had just spent 4 hours replacing the wheel bearing assembly on the drivers side of my truck ... lesson learned, look before you reach.

Lol!! That's why you are supposed to drive the vehicle until the oil is warm before draining it!

hope your heads ok. Ive done that before ..
on the oil changes never change oil unless the engine is hot/at operating temp...you want to remove all the gunk that willo be floating in the oil when it is hot..also any water/moisture.. cold oil changes usually will cause lifters to act up..

yeah i drove it and the engine was at operating temp..... thats why i didnt possible begin to expect it...........
