Turbo upgrade

Hey i have a 97 eclipse gst with a 420a motor. it has a t3/t4 turbo, hks ssqv bov, aem intake, and a front mount. i want to upgrade to a 20g but dont know if the motor can handle it. what else would i need? thanks!

If you are wanting to switch to a larger turbo then it will push more cfms at the same boost level of your current turbo. Hence you will need more fuel... Are you running the stock 420a fuel system even now? If so, I would say you definitely need to upgrade that first before going to a larger turbo...

Yes i am running the stock fuel system. how much do you think it would cost to upgrade the fuel system. and thanks btw

Uh I donno... If it's around the same price range as the 4g63 motor setups, I would guess a couple hundred to start? That's me thinking fuel pump, injectors and a fuel pressure regulator.

A 20g will be a little too much for for a stock 420a. Not to mention that you would need an adaptor to fit fromthe T-series flange to a Mitshu-style flange.

Now if you do a full build, then knock yourself out, but make sure you have some kind of fuel management system.
