Cool

Hi Sky, no, I don't have a turbo upgrade. Yet! My friend is putting a HKS TO4R kit and the usual bottom end stuffs this week. Expected to yield about 600 hp (at 1.4-1.5 bar boost) in 4-5 weeks time. I will be ordering the same stuffs next month!:sun: After his car is done, I might be able to post his dyno chart. Let's wait.
You should see how big the turbine is (single turbine).....as big as my head! I compared it to the stock turbine and you know what...it weighs just the same as the stock turbine. And when I pushed the impellers on the stock turbo, it moved 1 round. The same push on the TO4R resulted in the impellers moving 4-5 rounds! That would mean less lag. Hssssss....can't wait to fix it on my GTR.:licker:
BTW, my car now runs at 1.05 bar with 375 whp and 44kg-m of torque. Peak torque comes at 4000 rpm and stays that way till about 6500 rpm. That's why in 3rd and 4th gear, I would chase anything on the road or on track!

Man that gets me so jealous

Wish Nissan would hurry up and get their collective heads out of their arse and put the Skyline in the States.

You know what at this point I don't care if it's a V8 or if it looks like the XVL! I just WANT IT.

T04R, I have heard they still have a bit of lag. Please let us know what your friend think about it when its all done. I suppose he upgraded to 550 injectors, bigger fuel pump, what about his ECU, or cam? If he is going a head and doing the bottom, he might as well put a second mortgage on the house and really do it up.

Are you leaning towards the T04R as well?

Sky, there sure will be some lag but it's tolerable, say the HKS man over here. But let's wait and see:licker:
This friend of mine has money tree grown in his parents' backyard! Owned a Mazda Turbo, owned and lost (to thief) a Integra Type R turbo (after which the GTR was bought) and owned and crashed an Audi Turbo!
Anyway, the engine parts are: (don't hold your breath):
upgraded fuel pump
upgraded high flow oil pump
550 cc injector
87o forged piston kit
1 mm metal head gaskets
fuel pressure reg
264 cams and pulley/valve set
F con V option sensor
conrod metal bearing
crank metal bearing
crank metal ring
S50 iridium plug
ARC radiator
The ECU is standard but rewritten by the F Con V. Here's his car...

God I want a skyline so bad! I wonder exactly what the skyline that is coming to the U.S. is gonna be pushing. Hopefully it is somewhat the peeps outside the U.S. have.

Very Nice.

Ya, he is ready to turn some 11 1/4s. Do you know what he is expecting for hp with all that? If I had to take a guess I would say 550, but it depends on what boost he'll be runnin. He has a very nice list of parts.

Cool

You guessed right! 550 stallions are expected at 1.3-1.4 bar boost. I was with the mechanic this morning - saw them measuring the crank etc. I have to say the RB26 engine is one piece of work man.... The crank looks really sturdy and the engineering is a work of art. The HKS forged piston weighs less than half of the stock pistons! Looks like I am gonna spend a lot of time there from today....

Hey FrEaK,

600hp is a lot of power, a lot of money, a lot of tweaking, and a big chance of breaking other stuff. But you'll be a Bad Mother :finger: The problem with the Skyline is that in order for you to go 550hp and over then you have to start dropping in the big money into it. When I get mine I will do the normal upgrades to about 450hp then install a 100shot. Anymore than that you really have to start dropping in the forged stuff, re-do the tranny, strengthin the rear end, cam, and list goes on and on; money, money, and more money. But it is sure fun talkin about it though.

R33,

Man, I would love to be there when there were tearing into that engine. I am very jealous.

R33, is that at the wheels or engine?

Ya Sky, to really make the big HP you do need a lot of money to :flamer:

Just can't see spending the amount that MotoRex is asking then more to make it really fly.

Then again I would love to drive the Skyline, even if it were stock. It would still be mine, all mine

Sky, don't fret. When my car is being done, I plan to photograph the work and may be I could then post the pics here.
R35, it's 550 at the rear wheels:rocket:
I wonder how much such mod would cost in the US. Over here, it cost about USD 17500.

Thats some cash , I would say it would cost a few thousand more. So for an R33 through MotorEx would be $55,000 and upgrades of $20,000, so for $75,000 we are in like Flynn.

Woohoo 550 at the REAR WHEEL, Ya baby:frog: Guess that at least gives you 600 pyscho ponies under the hood.

Here's what they offer right now.

I know they are over priced, but for now MotoRex is the only price comparison we can do.
Stage1 - Exahust Upgrade
Hiper Exahust , Super Mega Flow Intake, $1000
Stage2 - Electronics Upgrade
EVC, F-Con V and harness, $1850
Stage3 - Suspension Upgrade
Hiper Damper Suspension, $2500
Stage 4 - 500 horsepower engine upgrade
GT2530 Turbo Kit, Intercooler, 550 cc injectors
Fuel Pump upgrade, Fuel delivery kit, 256 cams
Cam gear, Metal head gasket
$9250

Add that all up and R33 still has the most kickass ride

I do remember a long while back they offered a 600HP model for $100K not sure what it was and I don't see it up there anymore
