Advice needed for replacing FI on a 5VZFE engine
1996 4Runner with 3.4 6cyl. I would like some experienced advice.
I am about to replace the injector on cylinder #2 as I am getting an intermittent miss and have eliminated all spark related components. The Toyota manual I am looking at instructs me to remove both fuel rails and all six FI's as a unit. I don't want to disturb anything that isn't giving me a problem. Can I just remove the problem-side rail by disconnecting the fuel pipes between the rails while its on the engine or do I really need to remove the whole sub-assembly and take it to a bench? Thanks for any help here. |

Yes, you can remove each fuel rail independently.
