99 grand am 3.4 cranks no start

99 Pontiac Grand Am SE
3.4l v6
180,000 miles

Car stalled out on way home from work. Battery symbol and low oil pressure light came on. Water pump was leaking. Now no start just turns over. Seems like it is turning over at incorrect speed. Too slow. Here are the codes I retrieved.

P0300- Multiple cylinder misfire
P1404- Egr valve closed pintle

So far this is what I have found out.

Fuel pressure is 40 psi
Water pump gasket is leaking directly on serpentine belt
Egr port was filled liquid substance
Oil may have gas in it.

Stream of Gas is squirting from exhaust gasket on front of engine when cranking.

Battery voltage 12.32v

Thanks in advance with any help on this problem.

Use a noid lite, check for injector pulse. Is the exhaust clogged? Engine cranking, do you have spark at the plugs? Do a compression test. Smell of the dip-stick for the crankcase oil, does it smell like gas?

If the cylinder is filling up with fluid, it would cause hydrostatic lock.

might want to remove the spark plugs, remove the fuel pump fuse, crank a few seconds, clean the spark plugs or replace if dirty (I'ld clean them first), reinsert, reinstall the fuse, fully charge the battery, try to start. The engine could be flooded due to whatever reason, causing the cylinders to compress too much, causing slowdown in cranking...

Once it run, check that egr valve... the liquid could be unburn gas maybe...

Also, check the coolant level, it's the main thing that flood the cylinders...

The cranking without the spark plugs installed will flush the cylinders of basically all liquid.

So, driving with a leaking w/p....lost coolant....didn't notice the temp gage or coolant light? Sounds like you may have created a head/headgasket problem, and possibly more....
