Lightbulb 95 Mustang 3.8L-trouble starting...

Hi,
I am new to all of this. I recently received a gift from my father, a 95 mustang 3.8L V6.
I am having trouble starting, it cranks a a couple of seconds before starting and then everything is fine. The cranking only happens on the first time i start it, if after it starts i shut it off and go back to start it within a few mintues, it starts up fine.
can someone please help me out??

Re: 95 Mustang 3.8L-trouble starting...

hey my car does the same thing me and my dad tried to check what it was but all we found was that when the car is turned of it looses the fuel pressure so u have to wait for the fuel to come back up thats why it takes a while to start, might be problems with the fuel pump

If you are losing fuel pressure at cold engine startup the fuel pressure regulator is probably faulty.

I had the same problem, difficulty starting, then, it ran fine. sometimes it would run fine, or just die while driving, it was the distributor. Ford, couldnt figure out the problem. I just finally got a new one from Discount, and it solved the problem.
