Overheating! Gah!!!
I've got a 94 Cavalier with close to 200,000 miles on it. It recently started to run warmer than I would like for it to. I can run the heater and it brings the temp down to the middle mark but most of the time it hangs around the 3rd mark or higher. I was thinking radiator but after swapping in a new one today I'm in the same boat. I have also swapped out the stat. What am I missing? I flushed the radiator before replacing it and I am getting flow from the pump. I also figure that if the heater works the water pump works. I'm I running in the right direction?

Re: Overheating! Gah!!!
UPDATE!! I pulled the new T-stat and ran it with out it. The temp is staying down where it is supposed to. I tested both the new and old stat with a thermometer and boiling water. They both opened at the same time, right around 195-200. I know this is not a permanent fix, but what else could be causing this?
