Looking to Buy an Elise: Just curious whats your MPG like?

Ive always loved the elise and am thinking about getting one. I was wondering if anyone has any advice as to what they are like to live with: service/reliability problems, mpg (the gov estimate seems really low. I get roughly the same numbers in my current car and it has basically the same hp but weighs about 1000 lbs more), and any other tidbits you might want to add.

oh btw just found a crazy modified elise. it looks like the love child of a Hennessey Venom GT and an Ariel Atom

Depends on how you drive the car. Highway mileage it gets over 30. My best tank was 34. Around town its about 24.
