Just Curious - Whats Your Gas Mileage?

I have a 2004 Extended Trailblazer -- average gas mileage is around 16.5, mostly in-town driving. Highway mileage seems to average around 21. Just curious what others are finding.

That's darn good, especially for EXT, I-6 or V-8, 2 W/D or 4 W/D. What kind of gas are you using? Adding anything to it? KN air filter?

I also have a 4WD EXT model. Mine has the rare option of the Gen VI V8. The fuel economy varies alot depending on driving conditions and the driver. The displacement on demand feature actually does help alot on the highway, provided you keep a light, even foot. When I drive highway miles, I get about 21 mpg. When others in my family who don't have a steady foot, but rather constantly ease on an off the throttle, it gets more like 18 on the highway. City driving is usually around 16-18mpg. Overall, I average ~18 and usually it is driven pretty rough.

My '02 TB LTZ with the straight 6 gets 23-24 on the interstate and around 19 in town.

and that's with a 2002? that's pretty good. what do you do to it? what type of fuel do you use?

I have a '02 Ext and I took it down to Florida over Christmas and was averaging 320-350 miles on a tank. Haven't worked out the mpg's yet but I'm certain they would be about normal.

I have an 06, the long version that they don't make anymore.

Just measured my mileage recently (have about 40k miles), I get right about 19 miles per gallon. This was driving about 75mph on the thruway. Did an experiment, made a road trip with lots of thruway driving,(only drove about 80 miles though) and did not go above 65 mph. I only got about 0.5 miles per gallon better...

when my 02 was new I was getting around 18 city
now I'm lucky to get 15 city, and my "city" driving included some highway on my daily commute. I'd hate to see what I'd get if I did a whole tank in stop and go city driving, especially with the non-timed/synched lights in the BUffalo area that result in often hitting every light red

just took a road trip to Ohio, was getting around 20 maybe 21 with pure highway driving

i have a 2004 4wd and get 21 mpg. driving speed limit I could expect 22 or 23 highway.
