Replacing radiator in gf`s 88
The radiator in my gf`s 1998 Olds 88 is leaking from the bottom,so I`ll be replacing it with a new one this weekend. Here`s my plan:
Take off old radiator Flush system/engine out with garden hose Install new radiator Replace Dex Cool with green glycol antifreeze and top off with water How many gallons of antifreeze do I need to use? I`ve been told to pour in 2 gallons, then top off with water. I`m using pure strength anti freeze, not the pre-mix 50/50 stuff. I`ll be using Zerex original formula green.

Re: Replacing radiator in gf`s 88
Thanks so much! The repair was a success :^) I got it all done Sat when I got home from work. Had a lil trouble getting the tranny cooler lines to quit leaking where they meet the radiator, but after adjusting them, all is well. I`ll be sure and check over everything when she gets in from work this afternoon.
