"click-click", then dead

A couple of days ago, something under my hood started emitting this clicking sound (varied with rpm). Next morning, the car turns over but doesn't start. I suspected the PCV valve, but upon replacement, that wasn't the answer. Got plenty of juice from the battery. Any ideas what that clicking noise was? I think I should add that the last time the engine was running, it was idling rather low.

CHCheck battery connections what state is the battery? Does it have a full charge? And how many amps? If that is all ok try tapping the starter while some trys to start it . If it starts then its time to change the starter

Re: "click-click", then dead

Does anybody have an owner's manual for an '02 Galant ES? Where exactly is the relay for the fuel pump?
