Alfa Romeo 1750GTV [Gunze Sangyo]

Hi again!

Another one I was working on next to BMW. Quite good one as base for rework.
Basicly I add few details to interior and change body a bit. My aim is a simply historic race car with a bit newer look.











Sorry for bad quality pics.
Now the body has to be snded and painted.

This looks like fun! Gunze kits are a pain to build but usually look great once completed. You've already made quite a bit of progress. Good luck with the project.

Just think the roll cage is a little too big in tube size, but maybe is just the picture.

Hey Brat:

Miloh here, I'm starting the 250 gto and was wondering what you are using to adhere the white metal to it self? I can't find anywhere in the instructions where it recommends anything for this. I could use epoxy or even solder but are the front suspension part's supposed to move?? I don't think so but still what to glue it together with??

Hi Miloh! Honestly I never work with white metal part, however I think that the best way to get answers is starting new tread or you can try to look in FAQ.

Thank's for the reply, I did play around with it a bit last night and gap filling CA with kicker holds it very good.

Gunze white metal is no different than other multimedia kits. First, I build the assembly temporarily with white glue to check ride height and fitup. Then, after disassembly and painting I scrape away paint from the glue surface as I would plastic but use cyanoacrylate (super glue) for parts with a large glue surface. Anything that needs alignment time or has small surface area I use 5 minute epoxy. The front suspension of the 250GTO is static - the springs are just for show. The red car in my signature is a Gunze SWB that shares the rolling chassis with the GTO.

Fantastic info, thank's very much. Have you built the 259 gto?? what did you do about the seats?? and did you use the kit tires. I can't find a suitable replacement set. do you know of another kit with good part's to bash from or just a really good 250 kit that is correct and proper? what about the MFH kit? have you seen or built it?? I know it's a lot of questions but with the price of some of these kits it's really disappointing to purchase one to find it's no where close to the subject.

Finally find some will to finish this one...
Finished Alfa. There are few bits I could pay more attention to but overall result is satisfying.
