Car Will Not Start

I have an 02 GT 3.8 with about 88k on it. I drove it yesterday with no problems at all. Went out his morning and it will crank over but will not start. What should I look start testing to find the problem?

Re: Car Will Not Start

I checked the fuel pressure and it was fine and spark was ok also. Then I tried to start it again and it fired right up. Does anybody have any idea what happened. I do not feel like getting stranded somewhere. Thanks.

Re: Car Will Not Start

there is an ignition relay and also a fuel pump relay in the engine compartment fuse box, make sure those are in there tight. I have had several times I had to push those in on my and a customers car.

They might be either sticking or going bad; In case they are tight I would replace them just to be on the safe side, these are not expensive and can be found at most auto parts stores.

Not much can be done for diagnoses when it starts and runs fine. Next time it wont start you need to check if your missing fuel or spark.

Any stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes?
