How many miles do you have on it? Do you still have the original struts and upper strut mounts?

If the struts are original its probably time to replace them with your mileage. As they wear out you feel very bump in the road. Also, worn out front end upper strut mounts which also has a load bearing can cause erratic steering.

Yes. Same. Also, aftermarket Monroe, Gabriel or KYB brand struts all fit either the GA or Alero.

If you have an Alero GL2 model it has the same GM performance struts as the Grand Am GT so that should be considered if you want to keep the original ride and handling. For other Alero models it should not be an issue on fitment or use.
