Tamiya Mustang Cobra R sold for $62.99

Get this...my new condition 1/24 Tamiya Mustang Cobra R model went for $62.99 on eBay. I've already received payment too! Someone must have really wanted the kit and got in bidding war!

That's almost as much as I once paid for a Fujimi Ferrari F355 GTB yellow version, which I later sold for $100.00

It all depends on who's watching at the time, next week it might have only sold for $18. Unless it's something really rare, the sell price can swing erratically.

Yeah, I lucked out. Once I bought a Testors Ferrari 250GT California Spider for $75, but was only able to sell it for $45. I took a big hit. A month later another one on eBay sold for $75.

Heh.... never knew Tamiya made a Cobra R Or did you make a conversion? I don't know who would buy an already built model anyway kinda defeats the purpose and the fun of model building. Plus why wouldn't you wanna keep it, after all the work you probably did! But if you made a profit like that....well than power to ya man

P.S $100 for a Fujimi Ferrari 355 GTB:finger:

Yes, Tamiya made a Cobra R model. I sold it "new," meaning it was unbuilt and in the bags.

I was watching this kit as well. Once over $25 I hit the bricks. Goes to show that Ebay is made up of idiots and the emotion of an auction can make you money. Great sale!

I have some more kits for sale on ebay (don't worry, i am not posting a classifieds here). If anyone wants to give me another $62.99 for one kit, I'd gladly accept it.

Right now I have some common kits on eBay, including a Lexus LS430, Porsche cabrio, 930 Turbo, and MB gullwing. In a week or so, I am gonna put some more, unusual models up for sale, including Revell 750il and 560SEC, C class DTM D2, Tamiya Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I am trying to ween my unbuilt collection of models-ones that I don't expect to build in a while or duplicates that I have already built. I don't think, though that I will be parting with my unbuilt Ferrari models, though, including Fujimi Daytona Spyder and Coupe, 330P4, and 2 F355 models.

Not idiots, okay some idiots, but some people are just uninformed about what models are available or they are too lazy to research. Ebay is not for people to take advantage of other people, it is for the buyer to choose what they will pay by their own free will.
I have used Ebay to basically complete my collection and learn of models I never new of, and I have made a little money selling there also.

Ditto. But nowsaday, ebay hardly selling models or die-cast to those who live outside State (I mean Asia countries). I love muscle cars but no source to get some from ebay anymore and also once a Hotwheels collector, but now...   I have to stop completing my hobbies...

In my book "lazy" and "uninformed" equal "idiot". You simply said the same thing only more politically correct.
