gas gauge tripping
i have a 2001 bravada and for some odd reason the gas gauge dances like crazy unless i fill the truck up beyond half. i was told when i bought the car that the fuel pump was bad and even the little screen on the roof acts funny too. once the range drops below 100mi it reads low fuel until im out of gas, even though i know that theres enough in there. sometimes the digital screen will be correct or the gauge will be correct. its hard to trust either one because ive ran out of gas numerous times. if anybody has any idea what the prob could be please let me know i appreciate any and all help and suggestions greatly

Re: gas gauge tripping
More than likely a bad gas gauge sending unit. It is attached to the fuel pump in the tank. If you haven't already replaced the fuel pump might as well do both at the same time. My gas gauge started acting up, then within 6 months the fuel pump went bad. I'm glad I didn't replace the sending unit right away.

Re: gas gauge tripping
I agree. And as our most cool Pro's, Old Master and Maxwedge sez, stay with AC Delco/ Delphi parts for best service.
