2003 idle problem

Hi all. I have a 2003 expo 4.6L with which I`m having a problem with the Idle speed. The car runs at speed but when idling it starts dying slowly, some times it stays running at so low speed that the battery indicator comes on. Replaced the fuel filter, air filter, took out the IAC and cleaned. Think its the IAC but will like some of your opinions. Thanks. Pat.

What happens if you turn the a/c on?? Since you cleaned the IAC, have you tested the IAC solenoid for proper operation?? If it dies with the a/c on at idle the IAC Solenoid is not working.

Thank you very much for your reply. It`s still dying but now i have a code p0506 cel. Idle lower than expected. I guess i`ll replace the iac.once again thanks.

replaced iac valve. Problem solved.
