Exclamation EGR codes???

I got a 2005 Town & country few months ago, got an engine light come on. just had codes read at autozone - Print out says
Definition: EGR System fault (exhaust gas recirculation)
Explanation: The ECM has detected the EGR position sensor voltage was too high
Probable cause:
1 - failed EGR position sensor
2. - Open or short circuit condition
3. - failed EGR valve
4. - Failed EGR pressure sensor where applicable
5. - failed EGR posotion sensor where applicable

This is goberly goo ta this gal so ANY info/advice at this point will help. Anyone know of a good place ta take the car ta get it fixed in Spokane, WA? - I just moved here & am not familiar with the city.
Does this sound like an expensive problem ta fix?
What's my next step?
Is the car safe ta drive to a local garage to get it fixed, short trips or not at all?
ThankY
TJ

Re: EGR codes???

If it is running fine then I wouldn't panic. It can be driven in this condition until you can deal with it IF it is running fine otherwise. It is more likely a sensor issue and not the EGR valve itself. A dealership is not going to be that much more expensive, if at all, than a regular repair garage. Since you are new in town, I'd look for a reputable Dodge dealer. If you can get references then a regular garage would be a good choice, but there are far too many repair garages that throw parts at cars until they are fixed.

Shouldn't be expensive to get fixed though, I'd guesstimate it under $300 at the dealer and possibly less.
