I receive a blocked EGR valve code at about 100K (cleared it periodically by disconnecting the battery) and later had my EGR valve replace by the dealer (20 below and no shop). Two weeks later the code was back. I needed to replace the head gasket any way so I opt'ed to way on investigating the problem. When I replaced the head gasket I also noticed that the tube leading to the butterfly valve was total plugged. I clean it out, installed the new head gasket and have had no problems since.
