Lug Nut Torque

I looked up lug nut torque in the Ford shop manual for my '99 ZX2. Shop manuals often list torque in Nm, kg/m and ft/lb. Ford lists Nm and (sometimes) ft/lb. For lug nuts, they list only Nm - 100+, which translates into 80+ ft/lb.

It's strange that they would not list ft/lb for something as common as lug nuts. Even though we're moving to metric, I think torque is still generally quoted in ft/lb in this country.

Re: Lug Nut Torque

When torquing down the lug nuts use a criss cross fashion or the brake rotor may warp causing the pedal to pulsate when stopping. I tighten all lug nuts to 100 ft. lbs.
