Should I keep my Bravada?

I mean how reliable are these things? I just had it fixed because the flywheel, transmission u-joint, and some other small thing was wrong with it. It's been in the shop for awhile.

Is it worth keeping or is it just going to nickel and dime me?

I have a '97 model and it has 123,000 miles.

Are the expenditures greater than a set of car payments?
Any used vehicle is going to dun you every once in a while.
You do have the best transfer case ever put on a vehicle...you just have to get past the replacement parts cycle then it'll go a good long while without getting in your pocket as heavily.

Re: Should I keep my Bravada?

I'll just have to say it again. I only buy GM products with high mileage for pennies on the dime from guys that are tired of being "nickeled and dime'd" like you and driving them for another 100k or more. Chris is right when he asks "Are the expenditures greater than a set of car payments?" A new rig with a warranty will cost you a pretty penny but might just end up in the shop just as often.

Re: Should I keep my Bravada?

That's excellent advice but now the tranny needs to be replaced. Suddenly.

The flywheel injured the transmission and now we're looking for a used one. As soon as I get this fixed I'm putting it up for sale, don't want to mess with it anymore.

PM me some pics of it and let me know how much you want for it. My neighbor likes mine and is looking for one. He may be interested.
