Help 2003 wont start

Here are the symptoms, the engine turns over and initially it started this morning for a few seconds and 3 in the morning. but now it just turns over. hooked it up to another vehicle to avoid the battery being run down but no go. had to take off work today to deal with it so i would appreciate any information. thanks.

did you check and see if you got spark now after it did this and can you hear fuel pump when you turn key on? i have troubles with my 91 and bought new wires thought that would do the trick and it never cured it so i keep wire dry on coil and wires.

What engine and what mileage?
Have you checked your fuel filter and are you sure it is not out of gas?
A start and run 2-3 seconds points to the antitheft/security system.
What does the security light do key on?
Come on and go off or stay on?
As scrapper said check for good spark engine cranking and when it starts and when it dyes.
How is you fuel pressure?
