2003 wont start
A friend of mine has a 2003 Gran Prix that does nothing when the key is turned on. Radio, fan, winows,... all work but wont start. There is not even a click. I switched batteries, nothing, I can jump the starter and it cranks. So I am thinking either neutral safety switch or started relay, am I correct? And where do I begin?

Re: 2003 wont start
You are correct in your thinking. It is also possible that the ignition switch has bone bad and is not sending a start signal to the starter. Check all fusable links and connections at the switch on the bottom of the steering column. You may have to replace the switch itself to correct the problem. Also there is a possibility that the contacts at the top of the column where the lock cylinder is may be broken and not initiating the ignition switch properly.
