02 durango head light crazing

At night when the headlights are on they appear to have a hazy yellowish look to them. I've looked at the lenses with a powerful magnifying glass and it lots like there's a lot of pit marks on them. I guess from being sand blasted by road dust. Does this effect the strength of the beam to the point where I need to change them? Also are there aftermarket more powerful bulbs I can put in. My wife will be doing a lot of night driving in sometimes poor driving conditions.
Thanks.

With the modern plastic lenses they all yellow. Those polishing kits at any auto parts store work pretty well.
