2000 Durango -- Brake lights work, Turn signals work -- Running lights don't???

:banghead: I have recently had brake work done on my 2000 Durango. I have 140000 miles on the truck and my ABS light came on. As it turned out, my ABS senor needed to be replaced. I had the work done about two weeks ago.

Today I noticed that my rear lights only work when I press on the break (top bulb) or when I use my turn signal (bottom bulb). When I turn the head lights on, the rear lights stay off.

The rear is wired for a trailer hitch.

Any clues....

Re: 2000 Durango -- Brake lights work, Turn signals work -- Running lights don't???

I just encountered the same problem on my 1998 Durango.... brake lights work, turn signals work, back-up lights work.... but no running lights and no license plate light. I recently had a battery terminal replaced (ground side), and then noticed the problem. All fuses are OK. I'll consult my mechanic and post the solution, if he can find it. If you found the fix, please let me know..... TIA

I got on the road this morning before sunrise. I knew my running lights didn't work but I noticed that my dash board lights were out as well.

I checked the fuse (number 14 -- size 15) and it was bad.

I replaced the fuse and the running lights and dash light came back on.

I just paid off the durango. It only has to last one more year and then I am trading it in.
