Oil Question for Ya!

I have 4 quarts of Mobil One Full Synthetic and One Quart of Castrol Full Synthetic, all are 5W-30. Can I mix them? Should I mix them or just go buy another quart of Mobil One?

Pressing on, what about mixing in general, Synthetic with Dino Oil? Etc. Etc.

Re: Oil Question for Ya!

Hold on to your axis for now, I chickened out.

I found a quart of Mobil One 10W-30 in the garage to mix in with the 4 quarts of Mobil One 5W-30.

So Maybe the world is only wobbling hard but it is still on its axis.

I'm going on 65, I've never mixed oil brands, yet I know a few people that have without no apparent trouble. Of course in an emergency I would mix oil brands, but never been there.

Re: Oil Question for Ya!

In the long run, it's best not to make a habit of mixing brands.
