here's a left field question for ya.

I've recently acquired an H22A with the 5speed tranny, complete engine bay wiring harness, ecu, axles, etc. (basically whole front end off of a rearend total. My question is. to put this motor into my 88 civic 4door dx. What all do I need to do? Besides pray that the torque doesn't rip my front end to shreds. any help is, as always, GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks guys.

Well, GOOD LUCK in putting that bitch in there, from everyone that has asked this question, i have heard that its only good for DRAG STRIP, and to kiss ur handling good bye, and that its a VERY VERY TALL engine and that its either gonna kit ur hood, or scrape the bottom.try and sell it to someone with a 5th gen and buy a b18c5 (if you get enough for a b18c5) or a b18 and turbo it! Thats what i am gonna do, well, with a lil more money

well i asked that same question in the post labeled prelude engine and i also have a 88 honda civic sedan dx,,,
i was told that place racing (i'm assuming its placeracing.com) sells a weild in kit and sells a aftermarket crossmember because you would have to bend and bang your stock crossmember which would weaken it if you used your stock crossmember,,,but i was told that the place racing mounts rattle alot,,,and about the engine being tall i was also told that it is a hair taller than the b185 or b18c1
i am also interested in doing this swap so let me know your progrees in finding parts and performing the swap:alien:
