Ok this is my problem i have an 02 bonneville, and i noticed the heater hose fitting right below the intake is leaking real bad so i bought the replacement part for it and i have searched the forms but can not find out how to remove the old so i can install the new so any help would be Greatly apperciated!!

dont really no the set up but looking at the replacement parts it looks
like they may use a quick connect.by squeezing in the 2 tabs on the connector will release hose. what set up do you have??

I believe the part you are referring to are the coolant bypass elbows. If so, they are accessed by removing the serpentine belt tensioner (which requires removing the alternator as well). Btw there are two different elbows, the one coming from the intake to the tensioner is a 90 degree with matching sized ends, the other one attaches near the bottom rear of the tensioner and is also a 90 degree but one end is larger than the other so make sure you have both before proceeding because they will break when the tensioner is removed. there is a special tool for removing hose,not sure if its needed

Ok Yes that is the right part but i dont understand why i have to remove the tensior when i can see it where it is if i use the tool will i still have to remove the tensinor??
![]() The one coming from the intake is the one leaking shouldnt i just be able to use the tool and it pop right off??
