1997 1500 w/305 Vortec blowing ecm-i fuse and coils

I have a truck I am working on that has started to eat ecm-i fuses and coils. Should I be looking for shorted wires or does this sound pcm related? Truck has 370K KM so it is definitely far from new, lol. Any suggestions?

Re: 1007 1500 w/305 Vortec blowing ecm-i fuse and coils

From my '98 service manual it looks like the ECM-1 fuse supplies ign voltage to the VCM, CKP, ICM, Coil & all fuel injectors. This power comes from the ign sw in the "run" & "start" positions.

So, the ? is, does the fuse blow in the run position or start position and is it consistent or just sometimes?
