Ferrari 250 GTO [1/24 Italeri]

Hi,
Finished Italeri 250 GTO.
I understood many guys don't like this modification.
It's OK. this is my style and my sense of beauty, I can't change it and I don't want to.
anyway I hope somebody likes this one.

-Seat : Copied from Tamiya NSX type R
-Wheel : Tamiya JGTC R34 with Aoshima 18" rim
-Caliper/rotor : Tamiya JGTC R34
-Tyre : Tamiya Z31
-Added seat belts and side mirrors.

Thanks for looking and a happy new year.

this is the beauty of plastic, you can do what ever you want, and of course you execute it very well well done, not something we see everyday!

The model looks great. You have done a superb job of realising your design. Personally, I don't mind modifications (especially in plastic)
I think if this happened to a real GTO it would be headline news in the motoring press !!
Beautiful build Sir.
Regards, Steve.

Osamu, You've done a great job as always! Very nicely executed build, You gave it a modern look. Kind of reminds me of that swedish bloke, who build the Shelby Cobra replica with super and twin turbocharged Merc V12 engine (real car). But this is more beautiful =D

I fully agree
A very well executed and original point of view on a classic.

I don't need to "like" something in order to be able to admire and appreciate it

What he said.

It's not something that works for me but I'm happy you're happy, Osamu

Hey, you could build a factory stock GTO now to make some of us feel a little better

Turned out really nice. Kinda looks like a stretched 911 in the second pic

The final product looks awesome Osamu. I didn't really like it first off but now I think the combination of the colour with the wheels you've used (and obviously your huge talent with the modifications) make it look really tough. Well done!

Re: Ferrari 250 GTO [1/24 Italeri]

Kunta - you just made a few million bucks if you could find fabricators to make this car real.

This is the "Eleanor of Italy" ....or even Europe ......not just based on color. Look at the simple differences in the body. Everything shows a progression of style.

Nobody would take this car and do this, just as nobody started with a real Shelby to make Eleanor. Looking forward in this hobby and styling .....you just raised the bar. Don't apologize......maximize the potential of what you created and keep cranking out great stuff.

Re: Ferrari 250 GTO [1/24 Italeri]

You need to tear it apart, right now!

....and make copies!!! I want one of those. I think I now have a good excuse to build a Ferrari.

Excellent job, Kunta! I nominate this as kit of the year for 2011!

Re: Ferrari 250 GTO [1/24 Italeri]

Whoa. I thought it was a real car looking at the first three pics. Then i realized it was a model. What a great build. It looks a real tuff car from the front on pics. Again great build i like it.
