Hello all, I just had an issue with the power steering pulley and got it fixed, now my brakes are not working!!
I put fluid in and still a no go. I do notice the fluid on my driveway though. So there must be a break in the line...I took it for a mini test with the brake cylinder full up and down the driveway and all the fluid was gone, what is the best way to test for this....I am thinking...fill the master and have someone pump the brakes while I look under the car for any leaks. If it is one on the lines how hard a job is this on these vans? I have replaced lines on my Intrigue and Supra so I have some knowledge....any help and input would be appreciated. Thanks. |

The right way to do this is get the van up in the air for a full inspection, even though what you suggest would work, you will not see another area that is ready to let go.

Thanks for the reply, I managed to find the leak (broken line), it is the onlt one, will be replacing it now and then bleed the brakes...hope all goes well.

Just to follow up, I have replaced the damaged line and have bled the brakes according to a post I seen here....RR, RL, FR AND FL....I have bled it twice and still the brakes seem spongy.
There are no leaks as I have double checked. Anyone have any suggestions what it can be. I read someplace where it might be the ABS...Any help would be great. |

If air got into the abs unit you need a bi-directional high line scannner to properly bleed the abs, that is why all efforts must be made when repairing the line not to let the system run dry.
