1984 3/4t TCC blows fuses

1984 Sierra 3/4 ton 4x4, 1976 Buick 455, 1987 700R4. The trans was just swapped in and whenever the TCC is about to engage it blows the fuse. Tried a 30a fuse but it still blew. Wire harness has pin A and D on the connector populated. Didn't think the trans would be different. The trans was pulled from a 1987 Chevy 1/2 ton 5L 2x4. Does anybody know if the trans uses a different harness for the TCC, and can they show me the schematic if it is? Thanks!
