1929 Chevy Inline Six - Valve Gap

Hi All,

How do I find information on the valve gaps for the Chevy inline six motors from 1929? A heavy search on the internet turned up nothing.

I just finished one of these engines for a customer, he had a oe shop manual very rudimentary though.

I have a 32 Chevy, and set the valve clearance about .001" or .002" looser than the manual said to on both intake and exhaust. (I also have the OEM little manual but I cant remember what the stated values were).
It did exactly what I wanted it to; easy starting when the engine was hot, at the cost of a little bit of valve noise. At a Chevy club meet, each time I started it I would have guys in the area ask me what I did to have it start so well.

The same trick works on the Mopar flathead sixes of the early 50's, and the Hudson Hornet flat sixes.

The person who asked me for the numbers never returned for more info after I gave him the numbers Max provided. But if he does, I'll be sure to pass this information along.
