2006 with 405,000 and only one repair
2006 LTZ routinely gets 32-35 mpg and has only one repair item to date, back at about 250,000 miles, replaced RF wheel arm assembly for about $400. Continues to run great, with minimal maintenance items (brake pads at 150,000 and again at 325,000 miles, two tune-ups, radiator flush, transmission flush every 75,000 miles or so, and oil changes every 8,000 to 10,000 miles). Tires are the big expense, though i found the Goodyear Tripletred to run over the 80,000 mile warranty, as i ran one set to 100,000 miles and currently have a set with 70,000 miles looking very good.

Re: 2006 with 405,000 and only one repair
Welcome Aboard!
Good to hear that you are getting good service out of your Malibu. I'm guessing that you perform the required routine maintenance and repairs of normal wear parts like tires and brakes. That goes a long way toward a vehicle providing reliable service. I could have been a wise-guy and remarked that you must be mistaking your Honda for a Chevy, but I'll leave that to the "experts" at the consumer magazines - You know, the ones which have a bunch of journalism majors and on their staffs but no degreed engineers.
