Constantly, or just at startup?
Are you losing any coolant? How many miles?

first off they didnt use the 4 litre till 87, white smoke could be coolant or it could be transmission fluid as well ive run into it before where someone decided the tcase vent needed to be hooked to vacuum and it smoked untill it pulled all the trans fluid out of the tcase and fried the tcase. definetly need more info before anyone could can give you a idea what the problem could be
