Re: Lotus Esprit 300

Paint looks great. Can you post pictures of how you lowered it, including the notches? Thanks!

Re: Lotus Esprit 300

That is looking very nice! I like the color, and nice touch on the wheels! It's kinda funny, I just found one of these on evil-Bay (haven't received it yet) and now everyone is building these, after I bought mine! Well not everyone, but this is second on AF after I bought mine... I've wanted to build one since I saw Osamu's build (big up Kunta).

on the old turbo four, the distributor sat underneath the intakes (pretty much underneath the carbs) on the top facing side (engine is at an angle remember) of the engine.
In relation to the car, it is pretty much smack bang in the centre of the engine bay.

I'll go dig out a photo if you need one.

Re: Lotus Esprit 300

ok, had a look and this is the best i've got.
stand alone engine shot.

two disclaimers.

This is of the 907 engine of which there were 3 versions of so I can't guarantee the accuracy of this vs what was used in the Esprit, especially UK vs US models.
Of course, this only matters if you're bothered about the accuracy.

You'll have to note that the distributor isn't shown connected to the coil pack.
I couldn't find a good/reliable shot of where the coil.
