Some Local hardware stores can cut encrypted keys for $60.
You can still have a regular spare key cut for $2, and tag the out side of car. The spare might not work for the ignition, but it will unlock your door, if keys are locked in your car.

if the head of your key is black, then it's not a transponder key. If it's gray, it has the transponder and you'll have to go back to the dealer to have it programmed to your vehicle.
