Town & Country 2006 Cooling Fan running with cold engine.
Hello; I've got a 2006 Town & Country 3.8 L which the cooling fan is running most of the time even when the engine is cool according to the temperature gauge. Contrary to other cases in this forum when the car is shut down the fan stops working but when the car is on the fan works all the time even when I started in the morning (cool engine)...relay failure ?
Thanks.. chamuko1967 |

Re: Town & Country 2006 Cooling Fan running with cold engine.
You should beable to find another relay in the fuse box to swap with,
else it could be a bad sending unit on your radiator. |

Here's a wiring diagram. The relay is mounted to the front bumper beam. It is transistorized and use the bumper as a heat sink. You coul pssibly have a problem with the IPM or the wiring in that area.

Re: Town & Country 2006 Cooling Fan running with cold engine.
there might be some issue with relay.
Replace the relay then check out the fan. If the problem persist then you have to check out the wiring! |

Re: Town & Country 2006 Cooling Fan running with cold engine.
...mmmin most cars, the fans will start as soon as A/C is turned on, whatever the engine temperature. ANd remember a/C is turned on when DEF or heat/def is chosen too.
