3rd time replacing the Blower Motor Relay

2004 Impala 3.4
10 speed fan

it's good for about a month, then shorts out again.
first time I had only low speed fan.
next time I had to remove the relay to shut off the fan
this time I have no fan at all

It was suggested that maybe I need to replace the control unit for the ac (where I adjust the fan speed and temp)

any ideas?

You might want to check the blower motor.
Check for ground and amp draw on the blower motor.

Does the havc ever set any body computer/havc codes?

it has never thrown any kind of codes. I will go have the motor tested, is is better to just take the motor out and to a shop, or to take the whole car??

I'm not going to pay them to trouble shoot this whole thing

Was the Havc/body computer checked with a Havc/body capable scanner?
Or did you just look for OBD11 codes?

Take the whole car to them.

I have not scanned it for anything, there isn't any sign that there is a code being thrown. but i have a friend with an obd11 scanner, don't know if it's body/hvac capable

I would be checking the amp draw on fan motor.
If you get any Body/Havc computer codes post back code no and amp draw.
