Where is the Blower Motor Relay / Blower Resistor located

Still not sure if we have found our problem with the heater blower ... however, just wondering if anyone can tell me where the Blower Motor Relay / Blower Resistor are located on a 96 cavalier - are they the same thing? Thanks!

blower motor is located up under glove box ,resitor is same location. you do not have to take glove box out . get down on your knees and look ,motor is round. Just a pain to get out . 3 screws for motor and 2 for reistor. did it quit all at once ? when resistor starts to go usually you will lose one or fan two speeds. I`m sure you checked appropriate fuses.

Thanks for the help ... much appreciated. Found the blower, now as for the resistor - we have been driving forever with only a high speed, but now it goes on and off - it sounds like it's blowing, but very little air actually comes out. You think could be resistor? Thanks again

Re: Where is the Blower Motor Relay / Blower Resistor located

probably the resistor, they are common for them to die on these cars.

they are cheap (under $30) and easy to replace.. 2 screws.. its next to the blower motor has a wire harness plugged into it and sits mostly inside the duct.

pain to get the screw out though, you have to be upside down in the passenger seat.. its easier to remove the lower dash to access it, but not nessesary.
