Help!!!!! civic wont start help asap plz!!!

ok well i found some oil in my radiator resivior but the guy i bought it from said they did a valve job and a timing belt ive got oil in the 2 left spark plugs but not the right but i was running radiator cleaner through the system today when the car stalled out and i started it back up and ran for 1 min and then stalled out again and i noticed the cast tank was empty so i got gas and tried to start it again and nothing well i noticed water under the car and found that water is coming from the backside of the engine by the timing cover could this cause the car not to start from coolant being on the timing belt?

Dude you seriously just named several reasons why it won't start: oil in the water, oil in the cylinders, running radiator cleaner, water leaking from the block.

Sounds like the engine is toast man. #1 don't always believe what people tell you that they done to the car, sounds like a cracked head gasket caused the oil in the water and probably oil in the cylinders. #2 Radiator clean or stop leak is terrible for engines, if you have to use it, plan on replacing the engine soon. #3 if water is coming out from the timing cover, the water pump is going out or has been going out, which could have caused the previously mentioned problems in the first place and was never fixed.

When you took the plugs out, did you find one that was very clean and smell like coolant.
1) Fix the water leaks 1st.
2) check engine oil, radiator, and coolant reservoir for contamination.

Re: Help!!!!! civic wont start help asap plz!!!

Well I had a nice explanation typed out, but my browser decided to update without asking.

Anyway to sum up what I tried to say: Water leaking from timing cover means water pump bearings are going out, water is leaking from the weep holes like its supposed to to warn you, water pump going out could cause it to overheat at some point and crack the head gasket, allowing water and oil to mix(doesn't matter where, it mixed, which is bad), and allow oil in the cylinder, oil in the cylinder could keep the engine from starting by saturating the plugs enough to keep them from firing, or just keep the engine from turning over entirely because you can't compress a liquid.

I have had my fair share of experience with these cars as well. My engine ran fine before the piston decided to start slapping the head. So the fact that you think it ran fine before this happened, doesn't mean nothing was wrong. Mine also drove from Little Rock, AR to Dallas, TX atleast with the water pump going out.

Your engine has issues man, you can keep slapping band aids on it or check it out right. up to you. I have offered my advise and maybe the second time it will be used.
