1998 Grand Marquis. Left hand side mirror hit big plastic trash can in alley. Side assembly looks fine, but after a short drive, no mirror. Wife says it "just fell out". Could not find it at 1am in the street. Bought new mirror.
Is this too easy? - does it just 'snap' into the housing? - what about those two little metal fish hook looking wires? - no glue? I don't have a repair manual. It seems way too easy to just 'pop' it back in, like they told my wife at the parts dept. Last edited by Bill Deville; 10-12-2010 at 05:05 PM. |

That is how you do it. Line everything up and push it in until it locks in place.
